Catalogue Essay
The present watch is remarkable for its extraordinary condition—the case is well-preserved with minimal wear and all hallmarks remain crisp and visible. The dial is particularly striking, exhibiting no signs of oxidation, a common issue in many other examples that have aged unevenly. This suggests it was rarely worn and primarily kept in a safe. It also features the rare early font of the “Audemars Piguet” signature, which is absent in later iterations of this reference. Additionally, the included digital Extract from the Archives confirms that the watch was manufactured in 1993.
As an already rare model, this timepiece is even more exceptional due to its pristine state of preservation. With over half a century having passed since the Royal Oak's introduction in 1972, "Jubilee" pieces like this one are poised to become increasingly collectible, marking another milestone in the illustrious history of the Royal Oak.
