Being the official timepiece sponsor for the Swiss Alinghi sailing team, Audemars Piguet has created a series of limited edition timepieces to celebrate the achievements of the iconic red and black team.
Launched in 2005, the present Royal Oak Offshore regatta flyback chronograph in stainless steel was made as a limited edition of 2,000 pieces. Inspired by the team’s exceptional performance and being the winners of the America’s Cup in 2003, the dial represents the colours of the winning team in red and black with the team’s logo featured on the sub-dial on the right.
Preserved in excellent overall condition complete with its full set of accessories, this present example from circa 2006 is a wonderful sports wristwatch to wear on a nice day out on the boat.
