Catalogue Essay
Made in 2003, this 39mm example was made for the 30th anniversary of the Royal Oak for the Italian market, this reference came with 2 dials (a blue and a green one), featuring large Arabic numerals in a limited edition of 50.
Exclusively delivered to the Italian market, the present watch displays Arabic luminous numerals with a “Grande Tapisserie” dial and has the particularity to have been sold with two dials, a dark blue one and the other in a very attractive and unusual olive green. Whereas today green dials are "de rigueur " in the early 2000, this was a daring bet.
The present watch is offered in excellent condition, it may even never have been worn. The second blue dial is presented in a nice metallic box that could even be displayed as decoration.
This watch represents a rare opportunity to acquire a modern piece that embodies the brand's ability to innovate and offer future new trends like the initial reference 5402 did back in 1972.
