Good to know:

- Iconic “sky bridge” digital display that jumps seamlessly
- Ring-date display with the date highlighted in red
- Easy adjustment of time and date

The Lange Zeitwerk Date was introduced in 2019 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Lange Zeitwerk, featuring the iconic A. Lange & Söhne “sky bridge” time bridge display inspired by the Semper Opera House clock with an additional ring-date display circling the dial. Bearing such unconventional design layout, without hands to indicate the hours and minutes, it is supported by the remontoir d’égalite, a constant-force mechanism providing uniform energy flow to power the solid silver milled jumping hour and minute discs to create seamless shifting of time at the precise beat.

The latest watch to the Zeitwerk collection is equipped with a ring-date display. Unlike conventional date window, the date numerals are spread out and the current date is highlighted in red. The date can be set by pressing the pusher at the 8 o’clock position, then the highlighted red would shift around the outer circumference of the dial. The calibre L043.8 is an ingenious design, ensuring the quick adjustment of the date would not be affecting the switching cycles of the movement.

Accompanied by the A. Lange & Söhne guarantee and the fitted presentation box, the classy yet unusual-looking wristwatch, kept in excellent overall condition, for sure would be the centre piece in a watch collector gathering.

A. Lange & Söhne

German | 1845

Originally founded in 1845 by Ferdinand Adolph Lange in Glashütte, Dresden, Germany, the firm established an entire watchmaking culture and industry in Glashütte. The brand quickly became Germany's finest watchmaker, first creating dependable, easy-to-repair watches before going on to produce some of the world's finest complicated pocket watches, including Grande Sonnerie watches, tourbillon watches and Grande Complications.

On the final day of World War II, their factories were destroyed by Russian bombers, and in 1948 the brand was confiscated by the Soviet Union. Following the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1990, Ferdinand's great grandson Walter Lange re-established the brand with the objective to once again produce top-quality luxury watches. Now part of the Richemont Group, its original vintage and modern creations are highly coveted by collectors. Key models from the modern era include the Lange 1, Pour Le Mérite Tourbillon and the Zeitwerk.
