- Originally launched in 2005, the Lange 1 Zeitzone or Time Zone in English can be considered one of the most elegant and sophisticated dual-time wristwatches available in the market. Tastefully executed and highly functional, the Zeitzone was the Glashütte-based manufacturer’s first attempt in crafting a timepiece that combines a dual time complication with a city ring.
- In 2020 the present reference 136.029 was released. Made available, among other metal variations, in white gold with a black dial made from solid silver showcases applied white gold hour markers and white gold hands.
- Boasting distinct proportions of the golden ratio, the large home-time register with classical Roman numerals is contrasted with a substantially smaller local-timezone register, showcased on an independent dial with Arabic indexes at 5 o’clock. Advancing in parallel with its outer city ring, the additional time zone moves in unison with its surrounding partner as they both operate via the same pusher at 8 o’clock.
- Differing from the previous reference 116.026, the "Home-Time" now features the AM/PM indicator in the center of the dial. The world time sub-dial located at 5 o'clock also matches the AM/PM indicator now in the center of the sub-dial with a new daylight savings time indicator adjacent to it.
- Fitted with the new in-house manual wind Lange caliber L 141.1 and accompanied by its original set of accessories, the present Lange 1 Time Zone reference 136.029 is further preserved in excellent overall condition.

A. Lange & Söhne
German | 1845Originally founded in 1845 by Ferdinand Adolph Lange in Glashütte, Dresden, Germany, the firm established an entire watchmaking culture and industry in Glashütte. The brand quickly became Germany's finest watchmaker, first creating dependable, easy-to-repair watches before going on to produce some of the world's finest complicated pocket watches, including Grande Sonnerie watches, tourbillon watches and Grande Complications.
On the final day of World War II, their factories were destroyed by Russian bombers, and in 1948 the brand was confiscated by the Soviet Union. Following the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1990, Ferdinand's great grandson Walter Lange re-established the brand with the objective to once again produce top-quality luxury watches. Now part of the Richemont Group, its original vintage and modern creations are highly coveted by collectors. Key models from the modern era include the Lange 1, Pour Le Mérite Tourbillon and the Zeitwerk.
