    "Royal Oak 39 : The book” PIECE UNIQUE is a way to celebrate and announce a special project, that for more than a year involved a series of Royal Oak passionates to search worldwide and publish the finest and rarest examples of the iconic and popular 39mm version, the so-called “JUMBO”.
    The project was led by four Royal Oak aficionados: Andrea Poretti, Andrea Mattioli, Corrado Mattarelli and Michele Ciocco with Paolo Gobbi as editorial manager.
    The idea was to celebrate a special model showing to the world of aficionados and collectors the rarest variations of Gerald Genta’s masterpiece.

    The present copy is the prototype of the book that it is going to be published by Rizzoli New York in Autumn. It is a unique occasion to own an artistic and beautifully illustrated book.
    A book completely dedicated to the watches, with more than 330 pages of images and details printed and hand bounded in Italy featuring a special cover and a unique handmade metallic box to re-call the original Royal Oak Box. The idea of having a special copy without texts and interviews is to celebrate and focus on the watches presented in the book. The official edition will feature contributions and interviews with some of the most renown industry leaders, scholars, collectors and watch enthusiasts including John Goldberger, Francois Henry Bennahmias, Wei Koh, Aurel Bacs to only name a few.
    A unique chance to own a 1/1 collector’s edition that it is going to celebrate one of the most iconic design of the Watch Industry.

    The publishers of the book, alongside the Audemars Piguet Foundation and Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo, are glad to announce that the auction proceeds from the present unique piece book, will be entirely donated to the non-profit organization: OIKOS. For more than 20 years, Istituto Oikos Onlus has been working alongside communities to protect biodiversity, sustainable communities, soil, water, forests and fauna, promoting well-being and inclusion.
