As a part of the June Editions & Works on Paper Sale, Phillips presents AMERICA 250, a selection of 34 works that examine national identity, popular culture, and the evolving visual language of the United States on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Rich and varied, the visual lexicon of American art is as diverse as its people — and printmaking is at its core. A democratic and collaborative medium, it is embedded in American visual culture from fine art to commercial imagery and beyond.
