The PHILLIPS Hong Kong Watch Auction: XX takes place on 23-25 May, 2025, at our West Kowloon headquarters. The auction includes more than 280 of the world's finest watches – and though we are loath to boast, we truly think it's one of the best catalogues we've ever put together. We'll be highlighting a number of the most interesting lots and stories featured in the sale right here, including all the watches highlighted below.

With Only Watch recently announcing a pause on future auctions, collectors have a rare chance to revisit one of its most memorable editions. Held in 2015, the sale brought together top watchmakers to create unique pieces in support of research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Many of those watches have since disappeared into private collections — until now.
We’re proud to offer a selection of standout pieces from the 2015 sale in the Phillips Hong Kong Watch Auction: XX. From Piaget’s record-breaking thinness to IWC’s use of tank armor in a wristwatch, each tells a different story, but together they show just how powerful a platform Only Watch had become — not just for fundraising, but for watchmaking at its most daring.
Lot 943: A Circa 2015 Unique Harry Winston Ocean Dual Time Retrograde
Estimate: HKD $64,000–128,000
Harry Winston’s Opus and Histoire de Tourbillon collections push technical limits, but the Ocean line brings that same spirit to a sportier package. This Ocean Dual Time was made for Only Watch 2015 and breaks from the line’s usual monochrome look with an electric blue dial and matching strap — classic Harry Winston flair. The partially skeletonized hour and minute display is cut from sapphire crystal, giving you a clear view of the movement beneath.
A sharp aluminum frame surrounds a sub-dial that mirrors the rotating shuriken below, acting as a clever running indicator. Local time is tracked with a retrograde hour display on the left, while the date appears at five o’clock. The whole layout feels futuristic, but it’s powered by serious watchmaking: a finely finished automatic movement with a skeletonized 18k white gold rotor and 45-hour power reserve. “Only Watch 2015 Unique Piece” is engraved on the caseback. Nearly ten years on, the watch remains unworn since its original sale — and it’s back, exactly as it left the room.
Lot 944: A Circa 2015 Unique Piaget Altiplano 900P 38mm
Estimate: HKD $80,000–160,000
When Piaget dropped this watch at Only Watch 2015, it wasn’t just a stunner — it was the thinnest mechanical watch in the world. Based on the groundbreaking Altiplano 900P, Piaget fused the movement with the case to hit an incredible 3.65mm profile. For the charity auction, they gave it a twist: bright red hands, a first for the model.
Over time, those hands have mellowed into a warm reddish-brown, adding even more character. The 900P traces its roots to the 9P movement from 1957, and this piece reflects nearly 60 years of Piaget’s ultra-thin mastery. Others have entered the thin watch race since, but Piaget set the pace — and this unique piece proves they’re still way out front. Preserved in mint condition since the sale, it’s back for another lap.
Lot 945: A Circa 2015 Unique H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Perpetual Calendar
Estimate: HKD $96,000–190,000
For Only Watch 2015, H. Moser & Cie offered a deeply personal take on its signature Endeavour Perpetual Calendar. The twist? The calendar’s dates were handwritten by the children of Moser employees — each number a tribute to the strength and daily perseverance of kids living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
Red accents throughout — the small seconds hand and the lining of the strap — highlight that energy and optimism, set against a classic fumé dial. The 40.8mm titanium case is lightweight, hypoallergenic, and finished with black DLC for a modern, durable look. Inside, Moser’s clean, clever QP movement delivers intuitive functionality without clutter. Nearly a decade later, this one-off remains in like-new condition, as moving today as it was then.
Lot 946: A 2015 Unique Jacob & Co. Epic SF24
Estimate: HKD $120,000–240,000
Jacob & Co. might be a young brand — founded in 1986 — but it’s never played it safe. Jacob Arabo built his reputation on bold ideas, and the Epic SF24 is exactly that: a travel watch that blends high horology with retro-futuristic flair.
Inspired by the split-flap displays in old train stations and airports, the vertical GMT system uses 163 miniaturized parts (473 in total) to instantly switch between 24 time zones at the push of a button. It’s a serious complication, delivered with a wink. For Only Watch 2015, Jacob & Co. made the SF24 even more personal — this unique piece lets the buyer customize one of the city flaps. It’s a globe-trotter’s dream with a signature twist.
Lot 947: A Circa 2015 Unique Vulcain Pegasus
Estimate: HKD $80,000–160,000
For Only Watch 2015, Vulcain turned to mythology — and one of its most iconic figures — for inspiration. The result is this unique timepiece featuring a Pegasus in cloisonné enamel, a technique that speaks to the brand’s deep craftsmanship. Pegasus, the winged horse of Greek legend, has long symbolized wisdom, creativity, and heroism.
On the dial, the creature soars with wings outstretched, a nod to centuries of storytelling, from ancient epics to 19th-century poetry. It’s a watch rooted in tradition, but with a spirit that feels timeless — much like the legend that inspired it.
Lot 948: A Circa 2015 Unique IWC Schaffhausen Ingenieur 'Tribute to Nico Rosberg'
Estimate: HKD $40,000–80,000
IWC has always pushed materials as much as mechanics, and with this one-off Ingenieur for Only Watch 2015, they made history. The “Tribute to Nico Rosberg” celebrates the Formula 1 champion with the first-ever watch case made from boron carbide — a material more commonly found in tank armor and bulletproof vests.
It’s nearly as hard as diamond, but light like aluminum. That combo makes it perfect for a driver who lives on the edge. Rosberg would go on to win the F1 World Championship in 2016, but IWC was already ahead of the curve. This watch marks a milestone — not just for motorsport, but for modern watchmaking.
Lot 949: A Circa 2015 Unique Chopard Superfast Chrono Porsche
Estimate: HKD $40,000–80,000
Built for speed and designed with purpose, the Chopard Superfast Chrono Porsche 919 Edition for Only Watch 2015 draws a direct line from racetrack to wrist. Housed in a 45mm titanium case with DLC coating, this flyback chronograph takes its cues from the Porsche 919 Hybrid.
The striped dial mirrors the car’s rear diffuser, and the red “919” at nine o’clock nods to Porsche’s World Endurance Championship entry. Inside, the COSC-certified Caliber 03.05-M delivers 60 hours of power and plenty of precision. The rubber strap mimics slick racing tires, and the caseback carries Mark Webber’s signature — a personal touch from the F1 and WEC legend. “We used the same materials found in the car,” he said. “I hope the new owner enjoys it as much as I’ve enjoyed supporting this cause.”
Lot 950: A 2015 Unique De Grisogono New Retro Black Stripes
Estimate: HKD $40,000–80,000
For Only Watch 2015, De Grisogono went minimalist — with an edge. The New Retro Black Stripes pares timekeeping down to its essentials, then layers it with mystery. Four bands of black diamonds — carbonados, once overlooked — run across the caseback, a nod to the brand’s pioneering work with these dark, notoriously tough stones.
The design is clean and architectural: two curved sapphire crystals sandwich the dial and movement, joined by a thin gold band. Cutouts at 3 and 9 o’clock add to the illusion that everything’s floating. It’s stark, sleek, and unlike anything else. In virtually unworn condition, this one-off quietly commands attention.
Lot 951: A 2015 Unique Hermès 'In The Pocket'
Estimate: HKD $40,000–80,000
With “In The Pocket,” Hermès revisits a quiet cornerstone of its watchmaking story. Back in 1912, Jacqueline Hermès received a clever wrist strap that let her wear a pocket watch while riding horses — a simple, practical invention that planted the seed for what would become Hermès watchmaking.
For Only Watch 2015, that idea returns in a warm rose gold case wrapped in H red Swift calfskin. The watch can be worn as a pocket watch or converted into a wristwatch, growing from 40mm to 49mm when mounted. The matte black dial is clean and legible, with baton hands, subtle numerals, and a small seconds subdial at 3 o’clock. Inside ticks the Hermès H1837 movement with a 50-hour power reserve. It's a thoughtful blend of heritage, leathercraft, and modern horology — Hermès through and through.
