Patek Philippe

Ref. 5146J-010

百達翡麗,型號5146J-010,罕有,黃金自動年曆腕錶,備灰色錶盤、中心秒針、動力儲存、月相顯示,約2006年製。附原裝證書、錶盒

Introduced in 2005, the Patek Philippe ref. 5146 features an annual calendar complication and is the second annual calendar model ever produced by the brand. It succeeded the ref. 5035, the first annual calendar reference introduced in 1996, and retains a similar aesthetic. Before the annual calendar wristwatch was released, collectors had to choose between highly complicated perpetual calendar watches and simple triple calendars, leaving a gap that the annual calendar effectively filled.

Housed in a sophisticated 39mm 18K yellow gold Calatrava-style case, the ref. 5146 exudes a traditional and timeless charm. What makes this timepiece particularly special is its dial. This example, fresh-to-the-market, comes from its original owner who purchased it in 2006 at the Patek Philippe Salon in Geneva and still retains the original purchase invoice. The grey dial is exceptionally rare compared to its ivory counterpart, with only a few examples having surfaced. This piece marks Phillips' auction debut for this reference, making it stand out among its peers. The striking combination of the grey dial against the yellow gold case offers a unique opportunity for connoisseurs who appreciate such elegant timepieces.

Patek Philippe

Swiss | 1839

Since its founding in 1839, this famous Geneva-based firm has been surprising its clientele with superbly crafted timepieces fitted with watchmaking's most prestigious complications. Traditional and conservative designs are found across Patek Philippe's watches made throughout their history — the utmost in understated elegance.

Well-known for the Graves Supercomplication — a highly complicated pocket watch that was the world’s most complicated watch for 50 years — this family-owned brand has earned a reputation of excellence around the world. Patek's complicated vintage watches hold the highest number of world records for results achieved at auction compared with any other brand. For collectors, key models include the reference 1518, the world's first serially produced perpetual calendar chronograph, and its successor, the reference 2499. Other famous models include perpetual calendars such as the ref. 1526, ref. 3448 and 3450, chronographs such as the reference 130, 530 and 1463, as well as reference 1436 and 1563 split seconds chronographs. Patek is also well-known for their classically styled, time-only "Calatrava" dress watches, and the "Nautilus," an iconic luxury sports watch first introduced in 1976 as the reference 3700 that is still in production today.
