- Resonance is a physical effect that has been fascinating the watchmaking world since the 17th century. Watches with resonance are rare as implementing the mechanism to wristwatches is extremely difficult, basically requiring two watch movements to be combined into one while there are two independent mainsprings, gear trains, escapements and balances.
- This Mirrored Forced Resonance operates on the in-house cal. ARF21, which is entirely designed and handfinished by Armin Strom. It features the brand's patented Resonance Clutch Spring, which synchronizes two independent regulating organs via their hairsprings. This allows the twin balance wheels to enter harmonic resonance in anti-phase, dramatically improving chronometric stability, resistance to positional variations, and long-term precision—a feat validated by the Centre Suisse d'Électronique et de Microtechnique (CSEM). A pusher at 2 o'clock resets both flyback seconds counters simultaneously, delivering a mesmerizing, real-time demonstration of the resonance phenomenon as the balances lock into perfect harmony right on the dial.
