Andrea Branzi came to prominence in the 1960s, when he was a member of Archizoom Associati, the Florence-based architectural cooperative that was the embodiment of what Italy called Radical Design. In the 1970s he worked briefly with Ettore Sottsass to design Fiorucci’s New York store, and took part in 'Italy the New Domestic Landscape' at MoMA in 1972. In the 1980s, he was part of both Studio Alchymia and of the Memphis group.
