The Vacheron Constantin Malte Chronograph was first introduced in 2004. In 2006, the venerable firm introduced a strictly limited edition of 75 watches cased in platinum. This series, fitted with a platinum dial, was part of the “Collection Excellence Platine”. The present example is number 1 of this series and preserved in excellent overall condition. It was never offered at auction before and comes with the complete package including the original certificate and box.
