In success of the Vacheron Constantin 222 model, the firm reveiled a new descendant from the icon in 1996, the Overseas. Fashioned in a 37mm tonneau shaped case with a Maltese cross bezel in steel, the debut of the collection captured the appetite for the sports and luxury market.
Part of the second generation of the lineage produced from 2004 to 2016, the present example is a limited edition made to commemorate the 100th anniversary for the maritime timekeeping manufacturer, Wempe Chronometerwerke. Sporting with its silver logomark on a black dial with a muscled up 42mm diameter, the dual-time timepiece is equipped with functionality and legibility.
