Catalogue Essay
With a paternal name from one of the most prominent painter in the 20th century, Paloma Picasso established herself as an artist in a very different area of specialty. She started as a costume designer and began working for Tiffany & Co. New York in 1980 as a jewellery designer. Current necklace was made in 1986 featuring her signature "X" design, which was an inspiration she got at the age of 14. To Paloma, each X-motif is a kiss, romantic but never too girly, a perfect expression for love and appreciation.
