  • Is It Art?

In Is It Art?, Slimesunday recreates Louis-Jean-François Lagrenee’s Venus and Nymphs Bathing, 1776, through a 21st century lens. The work features models Jessica Downs and Amara Johnson and was photographed by Jordan Knight. Here, Slimesunday challenges the concept that Classical paintings featuring the nude female body are viewed as fine art, while digital art and contemporary photography depicting the female form are viewed through a sexual lens.

The owner of Is It Art? will receive a unique framed print and a smart contract created by Manifold.
