  • Through chalk, charcoal, and other mediums, Rhode’s photography crafts playful stories through street art. Erasing and adding to the scene frame by frame in Table of Contents using flipbook-like form, Rhode constructs a one-person ping-pong match. Exemplary of his fresh interpretation of street art, the artist activates a two-dimensional scene using his body to engage with his background. His drawings are reminiscent of graffiti as he blends the high art of photography with the perceived 'low' form of street art. From a select edition of five, this fresh-to-market work encapsulates the artist’s innovative take on performative gesture within a still medium.
