John Rankin Waddell, known as Rankin (b.1966), is a British photographer and director. His work defined the aesthetics of fashion and popular culture in the 1990s and early 2000s, continuing to break new ground today. From provocative shots of Kate Moss to fun-loving images of David Bowie and Kate Winslet, Rankin’s innate gift for connecting with his subjects allowed him to create a stream of memorable portraits.
