A steady presence in Pierre Chareau’s 1920s interiors, his PF 35 jardinière played a supporting role in Le Vertige (1926), a silent flm by experimental flmmaker Marcel L’Herbier, who also employed set design and decoration by Robert Mallet-Stevens, Sonia Delaunay, and Ferdinand Léger. Chareau exhibited the PF 35 that same year at the
Salon d’Automne and used examples the following year in the reception hall and the Salle des Fêtes of the Grand-Hôtel de Tours.
