Catalogue Essay
The Patek Philippe ref. 5396 was first introduced in 2006 integrating an annual calendar complication to the ref. 5296. Taking its inspiration from the firm’s legendary Calatrava line, the case features traditional and elegant flowing lines. Featuring an annual calendar depicting the date, day, month and moon phases, the perfectly symmetrical dial pays its homage to the iconic perpetual calendar ref. 3448.

Over the course of its production, the reference has enjoyed numerous case metals and dial designs ranging from sector dials to Breguet numerals. The present example in white gold featuring a clean white dial with applied baton indexes is without a doubt the most elegant and traditional iteration ever produced. Offered in excellent overall condition, the present timepiece is further accompanied by its full set of accessories.
