  • Dresses are very ordinary objects, yet behind their banality and mundane qualities are accounts of subtle histories, both biographical and cultural. The meanings lie in the personal narratives attached to the dresses. The dresses became a starting point for a conversation, a subtle way of getting to know, inquiring and revealing details in a personal archive. It was like an urge to look for something, even if I didnt know what I was looking for. — Marina Cruz
