    This work from Lim Tze Peng's series of single character calligraphies features the Chinese character 爱, which translates to "Love". In this work, Lim's strokes are swift and majestic, Lim retains the natural beauty of the black ink medium and allow viewers to appreciate the strength of his brush strokes.

    Lim is one of Singapore’s most significant and revered artists. He is renowned for his Chinese ink creations of post-independence Singapore, as well as his calligraphy. Lim has been bestowed several awards including the prestigious Cultural Medallion in Singapore in 2003 and the Special Price at the Commonwealth Art Exhibition in England in 1977. Alongside local and international exhibition, his masterpieces are exhibited in prominent Singapore institutions and part of many prestigious collections.
