The present lot was created in a crucial year for the artist Kenny Scharf, in 1985 he created an installation for New York's Palladium nightclub and was also selected to participate in the 1985 Whitney Biennial. As the artist exclaims that same year, “I’m painting and I want people to have fun looking at the paintings.
