Catalogue Essay
The Hublot King Power collection was launched in 2010 with a specific case dimension of 48mm designed initially to house the firm’s new in-house Unico movement. Since its release, the collection has witnessed many model variations and collaborations with important organizations around the world.

In 2012, Hublot released a couple of watches to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Porto Cervo Marina in Costa Smeralda. Known as the destination for the world’s elite jetsetters including Hollywood stars, entrepreneurs and royalty, Porto Cervo Marina is a hub in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea. Developed by Prince Karim Aga Khan and his consortium, Costa Smeralda’s 50th anniversary was celebrated by Hublot with the attendance of celebrities such as Elton John.

The present Hublot King Power belongs to a limited edition of 100 pieces. Numbered 2 is indeed one of the earliest though it is well-preserved with very minimal wear. If you’re looking for the perfect wristwatch to attend a night of fiesta, this might just be your answer.

Hublot

Swiss | 1980
Hublot was founded by Carlo Crocco in 1980 and named after the French word for "porthole," which resembles their iconic bezel design. Hublot's first watch followed three years of research and was the first wristwatch to be fitted with a natural rubber strap. The brand's most recognizable watch today is the 'Big Bang', which was first launched in 2005 upon the arrival of CEO and shareholder Jean-Claude Biver. Other noteworthy models are the 'Classic Fusion' and 'King Power'.
