Catalogue Essay
The Hublot Big Bang was initially launched in 2005 and has perhaps somewhat revolutionized the contemporary watch market by its innovative approach to design and materials. With the establishment of Hublot in 1980 by Carlo Crocco, they were also the first to introduce a wristwatch fitted with a natural rubber strap which took over 3 years of research and development. Since then, Hublot has thrived over the years gaining a successful and reputable global image under the helms of the legendary Jean-Claude Biver.

The Hublot Big Bang Black Fluo series was introduced in 2013 as a limited edition of 4 series with 250 examples in each. Targeted towards ladies, the timepiece features a fun design incorporating neon colors against black. The PVD coated stainless steel case is set with black diamonds throughout and fitted with a sapphire-set bezel matching the color of the electric blue luminous numerals and hands.

The present example Hublot Big Bang Black Fluo Blue is numbered 2 of a limited edition of 250 pieces and is presented in excellent “like new” overall condition with extremely minimal signs of wear.

Hublot

Swiss | 1980
Hublot was founded by Carlo Crocco in 1980 and named after the French word for "porthole," which resembles their iconic bezel design. Hublot's first watch followed three years of research and was the first wristwatch to be fitted with a natural rubber strap. The brand's most recognizable watch today is the 'Big Bang', which was first launched in 2005 upon the arrival of CEO and shareholder Jean-Claude Biver. Other noteworthy models are the 'Classic Fusion' and 'King Power'.
