Harry Winston founded his firm in 1932 and became known as the “King of Diamonds” and “Jeweler to the Stars”. A gemologist and astute business man, he built an empire dedicated to excellence in gem quality with diamonds known today around the world by their names, the Hope Diamond (blue 45.42 carats), Star of the East (94.80 carats) and the Taylor-Burton Diamond (69.42 pear-shaped). In 1989, Harry Winston introduced their first fine collection of timepieces and in 2001 launched their ground breaking Opus Series of limited edition wristwatches made in partnership with independent horologist.
