“I began to realize the importance of the aesthetic and started to use wooden strips or rulers to help with the modelling. At the same time, [I] became fascinated with the effect of paint spills and revealing the stylistic appeal of the image. As for the colour of the image, I would form a framework of colours derived from a point in the original image and use it as part of the inner logic of the work. I'm still trying my best to perfect these aspects that I have mentioned.”
