• Báez presented a major solo exhibition, The fact that it amazes me does not mean I relinquish it, at Hauser & Wirth, Los Angeles from September 2024 through January 2025. 

• She was the subject of two mid-career retrospectives in the past year, Firelei Báez at the Vancouver Art Gallery and Trust Memory Over History at Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg.

• Born in the Dominican Republic and based in New York, Báez creates vibrant works that fuse mythology, folklore and science fiction to explore histories of diaspora and envision possibilities for the future.
