With design number 08810/30014 (printed) and inscribed with the control number 'C24-C122' in blue ink on the manufacturer's label on the underside, from the edition of 100 (the edition was not completed), manufactured by Vorwerk, United Kingdom and Germany, for Arterior.
In the late 1980's and early 1990's, Vorwerk collaborated with renowned artists for a series of carpet designs. This design by David Hockney was included in the collection along with works by Gerhard Richter, Sam Francis, Zaha Hadid and others. Each work was intended to be produced in an edition of 100, but the series was never completed.
