Daisy Dodd-Noble’s vibrant works reimagine canonical landscape painting with a playful, cartoonish sensibility. Her technicolour bucolic scenes explore themes of environmentalism, escapism and humanity’s connection to the natural world. Layering paint to create multiple depths of field, her surreal yet contemplative landscapes invite viewers to engage with the natural world in a deeper way. Forest Study, Worlingham was inspired by a 2024 residency at Worlingham Hall in Suffolk, where a historic shooting estate is being reconfigured into a nature sanctuary. Dodd-Noble reflects on the symbiotic relationships within ecosystems, drawing attention to the beauty and fragility of biodiversity. Through her art, Dodd-Noble calls for a renewed appreciation of nature and a commitment to environmental conservation.
