    "This is my friend Peter.
Peter always says: “Go to work sky no colour, go home sky also no colour.”
Peter complains, but Peter still works hard.
    Be like Peter."

    — Casey Tan

Casey Tan’s (b. 1994, Singapore) works centre on visual metaphor and narrative. Many of his artworks draw inspiration from song lyrics, movies, books and other genres of art, often connecting them to life experiences and bringing drama and fantasy to the ordinary.

Tan is the recipient of the UOB Most Promising Artist of The Year award 2019. Tan started painting while studying Digital Animation at the Institute of Technical Education (2011–2012), where he discovered a passion for the works of old masters and the visual aesthetic of eastern and western animation. He went on to graduate with a Diploma in Fine Arts in 2016 from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore, where he was also a Ngee Ann Kongsi Scholarship recipient.
