Launched in April 2019, the Breitling Navitimer B01 Swissair features a transparent sapphire caseback with printed logo of Swissair, celebrating the former national airline of Breitling’s home country. Encased in a 43mm diameter stainless steel case is Breitling’s first in-house movement cal. B01. Achieving a milestone after 5 years of research, the cal. B01 was officially introduced to the public in 2009 as a COSC certified chronometer, and has gained a supreme iconic status in the collector’s community.
The Navitmer B01 Swissair displays Breitling’s ritual aesthetics of the Navitimer, retaining its trademark case design as well as its slide rule bezel. The dial is vibrant with strong contrasts achieved by incorporating the flying colours of Swissair, red and white against a black background enabling a strengthened legibility of the dial.
The present example is presented in excellent “like new” overall condition with its case retaining its unpeeled factory protective stickers and has likely never been worn. Furthermore, the present example is complete with the full set of accessories including the original warranty dated 2019, a Breitling travel case as well as an extra Breitling crocodile leather strap with its corresponding pin buckle. Paired with a stainless steel Breitling mesh bracelet, the present example is without a doubt an attractive example of the special edition model.

Breitling
Swiss | 1884The firm started by Leon Breitling in 1884 is best known for its technical aviation and oceanic watches. Today, all models are outfitted with certified chronometer movements, used for accurate timing. Early aviation pioneers in specialized chronograph timepieces, Breitling introduced the circular slide rule to watches in the 1940s for use by pilots. The firm’s most iconic chronograph, the Navitimer, was introduced in 1954 and continues to be manufactured today. Another key model is the Duograph, a split-seconds chronograph that was Breitling's most prestigious wristwatch during the 1940s through '60s. Their watches are built on their reputation for precision and sturdiness.
