A devout Tibetan Buddhist, Austy’s Frozen Kalish Ring is from the Psychedelic Light Collection. Through his daily meditation practice with the Thangkas and Mandalas, his creations are deeply inspired by religious elements and psychedelic patterns, enlightening his choices of colour, patterns and dimensions of light in his designs. Mount Kailash, also known as ‘The Stairway to Heaven’, is of religious significance in Buddhism, originating from Western Tibet. Cloaked in mystery, Mount Kalish has been worshipped as a famous sacred site by countless followers of Buddhism, Bon, Hinduism and Jainism. The form of the ring is designed as a floating pyramid, representing the peak of Kailash. The white and blue colour theme was intentionally chosen to represent the snowy peak of Mount Kailash all year round.
