    - In 1993, Audemars Piguet launched a chronograph evolution of its seminal Royal Oak: the Royal Oak Offshore. This contemporary interpretation of the icon that debuted in 1972 was originally introduced in stainless steel housing a vivid blue dial. The Royal Oak Offshore was swiftly embraced by devotees and defined the burgeoning genre of oversized sports watches.

    - The inaugural ref. 25721ST, fittingly nicknamed “The Beast” given its audacious 42mm stature, revolutionised prevailing watchmaking conventions and heralded dimensions now considered canonical. Incorporating a chronograph complication paired with silicone-capped pushers and crown, an integrated bracelet with robust rounded links, and a visible gasket accentuating its rugged persona, “The Beast” is powered by a Jaeger-LeCoultre based cal. 2226/2840 secured within an anti-magnetic inner case. Despite its amplified proportions, its guilloché tappiserie dial perpetuates the Royal Oak aesthetic.

    - The commercial triumph of the Royal Oak Offshore has spawned over 100 permutations since its debut. With its commanding wrist presence, the Royal Oak Offshore has attained icon status and can be recognized from afar.

    - The present Royal Oak Offshore ref. 25721ST is a rare gem. Its spectacular blue dial has developed a sublime tropical patina over years of age, suffusing it with warmth and character. As the second series of its reference from the E serials, accompanied by its original guarantee and presentation case, this beautiful example remains in exceptionally attractive condition.
