    Anne Imhof represented Germany at the 2017 Venice Biennale, subsequently receiving the prestigious Golden Lion award for her installation. Recognized for her diverse use of media, Imhof’s artistic practice includes painting, drawing and sculpture as well as live performances. Drawing for Rage encapsulates the theme of corporeality, a subject central to her practice.
    In 2015 the work was unveiled as part of Anne Imhof, Rage, the artist’s acclaimed show at the Deborah Schamoni gallery in Munich. Imhof playfully interlaces vivid traces, marks and shapes to form a dynamic composition imbuing the work with rhythmic qualities, which echo the physical . Drawing for Rage’s vibrant qualities almost transcend the two dimensional plane. The renowned artist is considered one of the most pertinent voices of her generation by addressing the sensitive matter of technology’s impact upon contemporary society.
