The present lot is a later example of the chair which was exhibited in “The study room of a Gentleman” exhibit designed by Agnoldomenico Pica at the 1933 Milan Triennale. The buyer of the items in the “Study Room,” a notary from Brescia, wanted the chair to resemble a throne. The chair originally made for the exhibition was altered to the present design at the buyer’s request.
