A unique opportunity for the winning bidder and three guests to enjoy a private artist-led tour of Whitechapel Gallery’s upcoming solo exhibition of Joy Gregory: Catching Flies with Honey. Followed by lunch with Gregory and Gallery Director, Gilane Tawadros between October 2025 and January 2026.
Presenting the first major retrospective exhibition of the artist Joy Gregory (b. 1959), one of the most original and innovative artists working with photography today. Gregory has influenced generations of younger artists and played a critical role in the development of photography, nationally and internationally, since the early 1980s.
This exclusive tour and lunch will offer a rare chance to hear first-hand from the artist including insight into Gregory's newly commissioned work exploring the common threads between communities in the Kalahari and the experiences of the descendants of indigenous and enslaved people in the Caribbean and the Americas.
Terms and Conditions: The winning bidder is entitled to bring three guests to both the tour and the lunch, which includes a three-course meal with wine. The lot is redeemable between October 2025 and January 2026, during the run of the exhibition at Whitechapel Gallery, and will be arranged at a mutually convenient time for all parties.
