  • Catalogue Essay

The minute repeating complication is one of the most charming available in horology. With a history tracing back centuries to striking town clocks, the repeat function was a luxury in the 19th century as a means to tell time in the dark. Today’s technological advances allow for manufacturers to neatly fit a repeating mechanism in to a wristwatch. In very nice original condition, the present minute repeating timepiece has a clear rich tone and is a fine example of early 20th- century horology.
