    • The centre composed of a 19th century jewel set with a cushion-shaped emerald weighing 11.39 carats, within a frame of circular-cut diamonds, later mounted on a gold mesh bracelet, circa 1960, length approximately 165mm, unsigned, French maker's mark and assay marks for gold, case stamped Mellerio.

      Accompanied by SSEF report no. 137267, stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin, with a minor amount of oil in fissures.

  • Provenance

    By family tradition, the central emerald and diamond jewel was part of the wedding basket of Adrienne de Morgan de Belloy (1876-1945) who married in 1893 Pierre de Berny (1861-1928). The jewel was inherited by their nephew, who had it remounted on the gold mesh bracelet in 1959.
    Thence by descent to the present owners.
