As an independent contemporary jeweller, Vishal Kothari, founder of his namesake company VAK, drew inspiration from his Indian roots. He spent the first twenty years of his career taking care of his family jewellery manufacturing business in Mumbai, where he acquired invaluable knowledge on fine jewellery production. Combining hand-picked gemstones and diamonds with the panache of period jewels, Kothari successfully breathes new life to his creations, which are limited to 125 to 150 pieces per year.
