The Heart Sūtra is the best known sutra in Mahayanna Buddhism, also known as 'The Heart of the Perfection of Wisdom'. The manuscript was written in Sanskrit and current Chinese version was attributed to Tripitaka Master, Xuanzang, from Tang Dynasty. The Heart Sūtra is the most popular Buddhist scripture, highly respected by Buddhists worldwide. It is believed that through the study and understanding of the Heart Sūtra, the Perfection of Wisdom, the three ages (past, present and future) would be able to dispel all sufferings and reach unexcelled complete Enlightenment.
