After arriving in Paris in the late 1940s, Zao Wou-Ki immersed himself in the city’s vibrant art scene, where printmaking made a profound impact on his artistic development. For the artist, it was not only a means of refining gesture, but a laboratory for colour, rhythm, and space. These works offer a compelling counterpart to his paintings and works on paper, revealing the depth, energy, and experimentation that defined his practice throughout his career.
