Lot 885 – Patek Philippe ref. 5950A-001

Having been in love with chronographs manufactured by Patek Philippe since I was first introduced to them, a few references certainly stand out among the rest in my opinion and one of which is the cushion-shaped mono-pusher split seconds chronograph ref. 5950. Cased in its stunning cushion-shaped case is Patek Philippe’s first in-house split seconds chronograph caliber CHR 27-525 PS. Aesthetically beautiful, robust and executed to perfection, the complicated procedure of manufacturing these movements is probably the reason why the ref. 5950 was produced in very low quantities, and even lesser in stainless steel. The dial is sublime as it features decorative corners that match effortlessly with its desirable black gold Breguet numerals. Preserved in excellent overall condition with extremely minimal wear and complete with its full set of accessories, the present lot is a dream watch for lovers of chronograph wristwatches manufactured by Patek Philippe. - Shoyo Kawamura, Specialist, Watches

Lot 945 – Rolex Ref. 118239

The blue and white configuration is timeless attractive. The lapis lazuli Day-date cased in white metal makes the watch extremely charming, and Ladies can perfectly manage for daily wearing as well. Preserved in excellent condition unpolished condition boasting a strong case and crisp hallmarks, this Day-Date will sure impress collectors with discerning taste. - Jill Chen, Head of Hong Kong, Watches

Lot 933 – Lang & Heyne Friedrich II Remontoir Prototype 00

This special project with Lavish Attic and Lang & Heyne was a synergy of passion, friendship, and the pursuit of perfection that took two years of planning to create the Friedrich II Remontoir ‘Prototype’. First for the brand to launch the Remontoir mechanism using titanium as its base material. It is a material which is hard to manufacture and process mainly due to its hardness and many other interesting properties that make it even harder for most manufacturers to consider this material as an option to use. True to the brand core value, the team at Lang & Heyne make sure that the black enamel dial was of the highest quality. The result was an exquisite black enamel dial applied with luminous on the dial and hands. Friedrich II ‘prototype’ is a joy to hold on hand to examine in great detail. I hope the new owner will enjoy this special piece for years to come. - Zi Yong Ho, Co-Head of Sale, International Specialist, Watches

Lot 939 – Patek Philippe ref. 3940

Yellow gold watches have always seemed to be a bit flamboyant for me, but the present Patek Philippe 3940 spoke to me with intriguing charm. The soft champagne gold hue speaks of an extreme subtlety, almost humble in my opinion. Born from 1985 along with its famed sibling perpetual chronograph ref. 3970, the ref. 3940 gets the best of both worlds. Representing a transitional period, and ultra-slim all around thanks to the self-winding caliber 240Q, this perpetual calendar wristwatch to me, is a hassle-free daily go to watch. Aesthetically, it retains its vintage details with the attractive sunken registers from the first series. Rarity speaking, this is as close as you can get to the example worn on the wrist of Mr. Philippe Stern. Wearability, the watch sits snug on the wrist and perfectly sized at 36mm. Capturing all the right notes, the present champagne dial ref. 3940 bears the romance of the golden 80s, and is certainly one of the undervalued timepiece from the maison. Gertrude Wong, Co-Head of Sale, Specialist, Watches
