In celebration of the upcoming Phillips INTERSECT online auction, we've paired pieces from The Armoury's collection to the teams' personal watches.

At Phillips, we are all avid watch collectors and sharing this passion with others is always a delight. We also see personal style as a way to express ourselves and enhance the beauty of a watch once matched with the perfect outfit. This is why the Phillips HK team was so thrilled to collaborate once again (part 1) with The Armoury to combine these two passions. For part 2 of this feature, our Hong Kong based specialists and The Armoury team are sharing their personal pieces and pairing them with a classic styling outfit.

The Phillips INTERSECT online auction will be previewing in early September followed by the auction itself in mid September.

ALAN: Longines circa 1940s

"What better place to showcase a piece with an interesting history than for a Phillips collaboration. Other than the story of how this co branded watch came about - I thought the colours of the dial complimented my tie perfectly and strap against my trousers."

THOMAS: Omega Speedmaster Ref. 145.0022 circa 1988

"I found this Omega 3 years ago in a local auction house in Yokohama during a trip in Japan. As a Speedmaster fan, I love this piece for the patina and the it came with the original warranty and box!"

MARK: Patek Philippe 570 circa 1950s

"I fell in love with this Patek 570 because of the warm tint of the aged white gold. Despite it being a monochromatic design, the ever-so-slightly taupe colour of the case and dial lures my attention back to the watch time and time again."

ZI YONG: Rolex Daytona Ref. 116500 LN circa 2017

"What is there not to love about a Daytona? With the new upgrade of ceramic bezel and dial facelift, the current Daytona has successfully retained the classic Rolex qualities, immaculate finishing and precision time keeping. It is such a versatile watch, I could literally wear it on any occasion, be it formal or dress down events. A genuine icon."

GERTRUDE: Tag Heuer X The Rake X Revolution, Carrera Chronograph “Blue Dreamer” circa 2018

"This project was inspired by the rich blues of the French Riviera and the era of Gianni Agnelli, Porfirio Rubirosa and Aly Khan. The “Blue Dreamer” dressed in my favourite Yves Klein blue with off-white details goes perfectly with a glass of gin & tonic on a hot summer day. Powered by the modified date-less caliber 18, this would be my absolute go-to piece on a carefree holiday."

SHOYO: Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 5227G-010 circa 2019

"Although my taste for timepieces are diverse, I’ve always been drawn towards aesthetically refined timepieces. I chose the Patek Philippe Calatrava ref. 5227G with a black dial as it was easy to wear and it had an officers caseback where I intend to engrave a message when I pass it onto the next generation."
