In our second Jewels talk, Vivienne Becker ‘meets’ multi-award-winning designer jeweler and goldsmith Shaun Leane, who is celebrating the launch of a new book charting his career, and bringing new insights into his collaboration with the late Alexander McQueen, when together they created barrier-breaking catwalk jewels. While the book launch and a selling exhibition of Shaun’s work at Phillips London are postponed, Vivienne speaks with him about the creative process of fusing fashion and fine jewelry, and about the high-profile collaborations, with Boucheron, Daphne Guinness and Asprey that have been mutually-creative stepping stones through his life in jewels.
