Last month, Phillips had the pleasure of sharing a wonderful evening with Barbara and Jack Nicklaus, members of the Nicklaus family, and donors of the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation at The Bear’s Club, in Florida. The event celebrated the upcoming sale of Jack's famous Rolex Day-Date, an iconic watch the American golfer has worn throughout his career - the most succesful in the sport - ever since receiving it from Rolex, more than 50 years ago.
The watch will be auctioned on December 10, during GAME CHANGERS, our upcoming New York thematic auction. Ahead of the auction, Paul Boutros, Head of Americas for Phillips Watches, and Maura Smith, Regional Director for Phillips in Palm Beach, both sat down with Nicklaus to talk about the watch and how the money raised from its sale will support programs focused on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of childhood illness.
