This season, ULTIMATE — Phillips’ platform devoted to exclusive works of art, with a particular emphasis on photography — will present a landmark selection of female artists, the platform’s most significant yet. Three global premieres will also be offered this season, featuring new works by Mika Ninagawa, John Noestheden, and auction newcomer Anna Deller-Yee.
The sale also features rare, museum-quality works by master photographers Robert Mapplethorpe and Irving Penn, anchoring the presentation with exceptional twentieth-century highlights.
Contemporary female perspectives

Jung Lee, You, You, You……#2, 2014. Modern & Contemporary Art London.
“YOU cannot be fixed to a single meaning. It speaks to an unknown presence, and may, at times, return as a voice directed toward myself.”
—Jung Lee
A wide variety of identities and approaches is showcased by the female artists in this season’s offering. From Korean artists like Jung Lee and JeeYoung Lee to American artist Amanda Means and French artist Noémie Goudal, the platform presents a global mini-survey of female creative vision today. Mika Ninagawa and Anna Deller-Yee foreground the expressive potential of handwork – reclaiming techniques historically associated with feminine craft and transforming them into powerful, embodied forms where vulnerability and strength coexist, and the trace of the hand becomes both visible and vital. Both artists present new works created exclusively for ULTIMATE.

Mika Ninagawa, Gathered Silence, Blossoming Light, 2026. Modern & Contemporary Art London.
Gathered Silence, Blossoming Light (2026) marks the first time Mika Ninagawa’s radiant crystal works have been offered for sale, as well as the debut of this body of work in the United Kingdom. The luminous suspended sculpture translates her signature photographic language into an immersive, light-filled environment composed of hand-assembled strands of crystal, glass, and resin.

Anna Deller-Yee, The Gathering of the Clouds, 2026. Modern & Contemporary Art London.
The Gathering of the Clouds (2026) marks the auction debut of Anna Deller-Yee and the first presentation of her work in the United Kingdom. Conceived as her largest painted and embroidered canvas to date, the work brings together dense mark-making and painstaking hand-sewn beadwork in an embodied exploration of tension, materiality, and the female experience.

Amanda Means, Light Bulb 00032C, 2001. Modern & Contemporary Art London.
“I take great pleasure in rediscovering the living nature of harnessed electricity.”
—Amanda Means
