The Panthère is one of the most iconic emblems of the House of Cartier. Inspired by the elegance, strength and grace of the powerful panther, the motif first appeared in 1914 and gradually evolved into a signature symbol synonymous with the brand. The design was first developed into striking high jewellery creations and timepieces under the direction of Cartier’s creative director in the 1930s, Jeanne Toussaint, who was affectionately known as “La Panthère.”
Through sculptural forms, pavé-set diamonds and hypnotic emerald-set eyes, each interpretation captures the feline’s fluid movements and seductive presence. These creations embody Cartier’s bold creativity, extraordinary craftsmanship and enduring fascination with the panther motif.
