Faithfully rendered by renowned enamellist Muriel Séchaud, signed and dated ’97, the artwork captures the intricate beauty of Audubon’s original illustration. Among the ten birds featured in this distinguished Métiers d’Art series, the Columbia Jay is one of the rarest to appear at international auctions.

Among contemporary exponents of enamel art, Muriel Séchaud is undoubtedly one of the elite names, regularly called upon by Vacheron Constantin. He was one of the few artisans in the 1990s and early 2000’s creating hand-painted enamel dials by using traditional techniques. Often compared with Suzanne Rohr, who worked with Patek Philippe to the same high-quality using what was considered a dying art, both artisans are renowned in the industry.
