The present piece is a magnificent watch from the 19th century, made for the Chinese market. The enamel dial, preserved in exceptional condition, bears slender Roman numerals and elegant blued clover‑shaped hands. Beneath, the richly engraved and gilt lever movement stands as a triumph of ornamental horology. The gilt case, richly ornamented, is crowned by a finely painted polychrome enamel floral bouquet to the hinged back—an expression of refinement and export luxury tailored to its destination.
