-Patek Philippe released the reference 5738R in 2018 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the original Golden Ellipse reference 3548 introduced in 1968. This model joins the reference 5738P, which was previously introduced in 2008 for the model’s 40th anniversary.
-The case design was based on the “golden ratio” concept which Patek Philippe regarded as mathematically harmonious creating a divine and balanced design, and inspired many artistic and architectural masterpieces. The elliptical case was a bold departure from the classic round timepiece and was a merger between a circle and rectangle. The Golden Ellipse is a historic watch within the Patek Philippe oeuvre and the second oldest continuously recognized collection after the Calatrava collection first released in 1932.
-The present pink gold wristwatch from circa 2018 is in virtually new condition and offered by the original owner, complete with its Certificate of Origin and presentation box. The wristwatch is highly attractive in pink gold with black dial and is a wonderful representation of the Golden Ellipse.
